Gombe pick road trip point
3SC's line up against Gombe United
Shooting Stars endured another frustrating draw against Gombe United at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan on Wednesday in a match characterized by missed chances.
It was a second straight draw for the Oluyole Warriors who wasted many goal scoring chances in the match.
Coach Festus Allen made several changes to the team that drew last Saturday at home to Rising Stars with Olayiwola Oyeleke earning a recall into the starting line-up while Dele Ajiboye was handed his first league start for Shooting Stars.
Talabi Olumakinde started ahead of Ebitimi Aguogo with Raheem Owolabi also back in the team after missing the last game.
The Oluyole Warriors missed several opportunities to hit the back of the net in the first half despite creating many chances but for poor marksmanship.
Owolabi hit the upright in the 69th minute after meeting a brilliant cross from Taofeek Adepoju, while Ighodaro Osaoguana who came in for Aaron Samuel had two shot saved by Uche Azubuike in goal for Gombe United
The team looked better than the last time out when they play Rising Stars but were undone by missed chances.
Shooting Stars SC ended the game with 10 men after centre half, Adigun Olamide limped off following a clash with Gombe United Hammed Yussuf. The team had already exhausted their substitution.
Shola Adeboye had came in for Olayiwola Oyeleke while Jonathan Onyeabuchi came in for Taofeek Adepoju in a tactical switch.
