Allen ready for Dolphins

Shooting Stars coach; Festus Andrew Allen has said his team is ready to take on the Nigeria Premier league champions Dolphins, in the week 6 fixture of the NPL on Wednesday at the MKO Abiola Stadium Abeokuta.

Allen spoke with the club official website (www.shootingstarssc.net) shortly after the team's Thursday training session at the University of Ibadan Sports complex.

The former Bukola Babes FC coach said as a coach he has never been scared of any team including Dolphins, Allen said his team is prepared for the game and will fight very hard to win the game. He said the training session has further help to work on the team play and tactics for the game.

Speaking on the last game away to Niger Tornadoes in Minna, Allen said his boys were unlucky to have left Minna without a point as they did very well but were undone by several offside calls


The coach also spoke on the lack of goals of his striker in the last three games "As you can see in our training today we have been working on goal scoring and today am happy that the boys scored lots of goals. I want to challenge the boys to translate what they have learnt in training into the match on Wednesday."

He said he will continue to work hard in other to accomplish his objective of leading the team back to greatness.

Shooting Stars host Dolphins on Wednesday in a match they want to win improve their fortune on the Nigeria Premier League table.

Meanwhile the team will on Tuesday travel to Abeokuta ahead of the match as the Nigeria Premier League board refuses to allow the use of Obafemi Awolowo Stadium Ibadan despite the progress in the work done to put the stadium back into proper shape.
